Hello
After spending 3 weeks with the "instituto superior"-one week quito, one week otavalo and one week Amazon jungle, I can confirm that the instituto real is superior. All three teachers were great, the guest families were "ample", food was real good and there were lot of possibilities to practice
the Spanish I learned in the classes.
The jungle was one of the highlights of my 7 weeks in Ecuador.
besides the Spanish lessons the "instituto" organized the excursion to the "islas galapagos".
Here as well everything worked out well and the "flamingo", the boat the school booked for me was the perfect choice. It is a rather small ship with only 10 passenger all together, which allows to be flexible with the itinerary and the atmosphere is much more personal than on the bigger ships (and it is comparably cheap as well.)
All in all I can recommend the instituto superior without any reservations!!
