SPANISH CLASSES IN THE JUNGLE - THE SELVA PROGRAM

The Jungle Spanish Course is one of the most interesting programs for the tourists of Ecuador. The Amazon rainforest covers a sizeable part of eastern Ecuador, and is one of the primary ecological hot spots in the world. (map of Ecuador)

For our Spanish classes in the jungle we work with our partner Yarina Eco-Lodge. It is strategically located in an area of forest that counts on the highest diversity of micro habitats in the Napo area. This means that there are more species of animals, birds, reptiles and insects than else where in the Napo province. The lodge is a member of the Yuturi Conservation Group; an organization involved in rainforest conservation projects.

Our Spanish language school in the jungle or our Selva Spanish course enables students the opportunity be immersed in a truly wild and exotic location, whilst maintaining at least some of the comforts of home provided by the high standards of Yarina Lodge. Students will travel to the lodge from a location close to Coca in a dug out motorized canoe, where they will spend a glorious week enjoying the sights and the sounds of the forest. The Spanish language classes in the jungle are held in the morning, the normal four hours, and then the afternoons are filled with jungle adventure, from treks to indigenous medicals; students will experience the way of the jungle and the traditional practices of the local people.
