Galapagos Spanish & Surf Program

 

Study Spanish and surf the Galapagos Islands! Located on San Cristóbal Island, a surfer’s paradise with beach breaks and point breaks. We offer programs for all levels of surfers. Take surf lessons with experienced local surfers or head out with a local guide to show you some of the more advanced breaks. Bring your own board or rent one in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Surf and Spanish Galapagos IslandsStudents will study Spanish with 20 hours of classes per week, 4 hours per day, combined with surfing and a variety of other activities. With this program classes depend on the tides and surf, so you can catch the best waves. Explore the many surf spots, beautiful beaches, and visit an informative interpretive center. Catch waves with marine iguanas and playful sea lions in the pristine waters and learn Spanish in this unimaginable destination.

 

 

Galapagos Spanish & Dive Program

Galapagos FishThe Galapagos Islands are a magical place to dive & explore. Below the surface of the crystal blue waters you will be enchanted by another world full of colorful life and curious creatures. The Galapagos Islands are one of the top destinations in the world to dive.

The Galapagos Marine Reserve is the second largest marine reserve in the world and due to the convergence of the cold Humboldt Current  and the warmer Equatorial Countercurrent, this area hosts a myriad of underwater life for you to enjoy. The oceanic world of the Galapagos and is one of the best places on earth where you can dive with large schools of hammerhead sharks and see many other species including white-tipped and black-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks, and magnificent whale sharks!

With over 500 species of fish around the islands, 17% of which are endemic, you will be amazed at what you will encounter. At numerous dive sites around the Galapagos Islands you have excellent chances of seeing a variety of invertebrates, reef fish, eels, rays, sea turtles, sharks, and even Galapagos penguins. This is the perfect opportunity to observe their respective behaviors up close and personal.

Galapagos Star Fish

The Galapagos Islands Spanish and Dive Program combines learning Spanish and exploring the underwater world. Students will study Spanish for 20 hours per week, 4 hours a day along with a scuba adventure.

 




Galapagos Sharks

Open Water:

Learn how to dive in 4 days. This course includes knowledge development and learning the basics of scuba diving, confined water dives to learn and practice basic skills like setting up your scuba gear and emergency skills, and four open water dives. PADI book, video, and license are also included.

Advanced Open Water:

Included in the 3 day Advanced Open Water course is theory, 5 special dives, PADI book and Advanced  Open Water license.

Daily Dives:

Already a PADI certified diver? We offer daily dive trips to interesting locations.

 

Galapagos Islands Spanish School can also arrange for exciting Night Dives for an additional cost.

 

Note: To dive in the Galapagos Islands a PADI Open Water certification is required, along with your logbook of dives made within the last 12 months. You may also be required to present a medical certificate confirming that you are physically fit to dive. There is no decompression chamber within 1000 km and sea conditions may include strong currents and cold waters. Be safe and listen to your body as you enjoy this marvelous experience.

 

Galapagos Spanish, Surf & Dive Program

Surf Beach GalapagosGet your adrenaline fix and experience San Cristóbal Island, with the Galapagos Spanish and Surf & Dive Program, one of our most popular programs. You will study Spanish with 20 hours of classes per week, 4 hours per day in addition to surfing and scuba diving in the exotic Galapagos Islands. We will design a program depending on your levels to surf and dive, a  trip you will never forget.

 

Galapagos Octopus Diving LessonsNote: Surfing and diving are sports that are determined by weather and ocean conditions. The Instituto Superior de Español Galapagos Island Spanish School reserves the right to determine if a surf or dive session will be cancelled due to bad weather and/or dangerous surf conditions, such as wave height or lighting. The safety of our students is our primary concern.

 

Galapagos Spanish Program

Study Spanish in GalapagosEnjoy the tranquility of San Cristóbal Island while studying Spanish with the Galapagos Islands Spanish School. Study Spanish with 20 hours of classes per week, 4 hours per day. Classes are held in the morning and after lunch you will have the opportunity to participate in guided excursions. Visit the San Cristóbal Interpretive Center and explore the beautiful beaches surrounding the area.

Galapagos Island ShoreSan Cristóbal Island is a great place to enjoy the Galapagos Islands in a peaceful, safe community, giving you the opportunity to experience the culture of the local Galapagueños and to practice Spanish in a friendly environment.

 

 

 

Galapagos Spanish & Boat Tour

Galapagos Boat PortStudy Spanish and explore the charming area of San Cristóbal Island. You will study Spanish in the mornings for 20 hours per week, 4 hours and day. Each afternoon after lunch, you will have the opportunity to go on guided excursions. Relax on the beautiful beaches, swim, snorkel, and visit the San Cristóbal Interpretive Center.  You will enjoy the friendly locals and tranquility of San Cristóbal Island.

Galapagos Boat ToursThe second half of your trip will be spent on a 5 day boat tour. This program is a great way to visit the Galapagos Islands, immerse in the local community of San Cristóbal Island, and to explore the different islands with a boat tour. Encounter wildlife up close and personal and discover the unique diversity of the Galapagos Archipelago.
